When a much-loved wedding planning business evolves, it’s always exciting to see the fresh energy and creativity that comes with a new chapter. I am thrilled to introduce you to Vows & Things — the beautiful rebrand of Foreva Events — led by the talented and passionate new owner, Rayna Power.
Building on the incredible foundation laid by founder Eva Kaszycki, Vows & Things brings a fresh, heartfelt approach to planning, styling, and coordinating weddings. With a focus on authenticity, creativity, and meaningful storytelling, Vows & Things is all about helping couples create a day that truly feels like them — not just beautiful, but deeply personal.
In this interview, we chat about the inspiration behind the rebrand, the planning experience couples can expect, favourite styling trends, and some memorable moments from recent weddings. Whether you’re just starting your wedding planning journey or looking for the perfect planner to bring your vision to life, Vows & Things is definitely one to watch.
- How did Vows & Things begin and what inspired you to start focusing on wedding planning, styling and coordination?
Foreva Events was originally started in 2013 by Eva Kaszycki. She was passionate about creating beautiful, high-end weddings and built a really successful business around that. At the end of 2024, she passed the baton on to me — and I rebranded to Vows & Things.
I’ve always been a romantic and a creative at heart. Outside of weddings, I write and perform music, paint, refurbish furniture — basically anything where I can express myself and make something beautiful. So getting to plan & design weddings — where I can connect with people, tell their love stories, style something meaningful, and bring it all to life — it just feels like the perfect mix of everything I love. - Could you describe your signature style and what couples can expect when they work with you?
Vows & Things is all about authenticity over tradition. I love learning what makes each couple them — their quirks, their history, their shared obsessions — and finding creative ways to weave those into their day. Whether it’s through music choices, styling details, or the flow of the day, I want their wedding to feel like them, not just something Pinterest-pretty or trendy for the sake of it. My style leans creative, elegant, a little unexpected. Always beautiful. Always personal. And always done with intention. - What is the planning process like when working with Vows & Things? How do you help couples from the initial consultation to their wedding day?
I offer two main planning packages — Standard Planning and Full-Service Planning — depending on how much support you’re after. With Standard Planning, I’m with you from the very beginning. We’ll start with a full consult so I can understand your vision, priorities, and budget. From there, I help you build your dream vendor team and handle all the back and forth with them, create a detailed styling concept that reflects your love story, track and manage your budget, and pull together a full planning timeline and master run sheet. I’m there on the day to coordinate everything and make sure it all runs smoothly, so you don’t have to worry about a thing.
Full-Service Planning is for the couples who want absolutely everything taken care of — and I mean everything. It includes everything from the Standard package, but goes even deeper. I’ll manage your RSVPs and guest list, help plan any pre-wedding events like your engagement party or hens, and coordinate your post-wedding brunch if you’re having one. I’ll also assist with accommodation bookings, transport schedules, and help you create a custom wedding weekend itinerary for your guests. We can even work together on personal touches like welcome boxes or wedding favours. Full-service is designed to give you a truly hands-off, stress-free experience — so you can just focus on being in love and actually enjoy your engagement without getting bogged down in logistics. No matter which package you go with, I’m here to be your creative partner and your calm in the chaos, making sure every detail is thought of and taken care of. - What are some trends that you’re loving in wedding styling right now and how do you see them evolving in the coming years?
I’m really loving the use of fabric right now. It’s such a versatile design element and adds this beautiful softness and texture that you just can’t get with standard florals or props. You can drape it for backdrops, layer it across tables, or even use it sculpturally to create really elevated pieces throughout the space. I’m especially into the idea of using fabric in more fun, unexpected ways — like having your ceremony take place behind a sheer white panel with a light behind it, so guests only see your silhouettes. I think it would be so cool, and I think in the coming years we’ll keep seeing more of that — couples using fabric to play with light, shape, and movement in ways that feel really unique and personal. - What are some of your favourite elements to style in a wedding? Are there any specific details that you feel really make an impact?
Florals are definitely up there — but I also love playing with textures, especially with fabric and tablescapes.
Simple swaps like unique chairs, elevated glassware, or modern cutlery can completely elevate a look. It’s those subtle details that often make the biggest impact when everything comes together. - Can you share one of your favourite wedding stories or a memorable moment from the past year?
One that really stands out was a wedding I did last year at Rosewood Estate. The couple were just a dream — relaxed, fun, and totally themselves. She walked down the aisle to an acoustic Doja Cat song, wore this incredible blue eyeshadow, and they skipped a lot of the traditional formalities — no first dance, barely any speeches. The whole vibe was just them and the dance floor went off. The weather was a whole thing — it was meant to be sunny but ended up stormy and very windy. Their ceremony was meant to be outside, and with 150 guests, moving everything into the marquee would’ve been tight. But literally 30 minutes before the ceremony, the skies cleared, we dried the chairs, reset the space — and the day turned out beautifully. - How do you help couples incorporate personal touches and tell their story through the planning and styling process?
I start by actually getting to know them — not just the logistics, but who they are, what they love, what lights them up.
Then I guide them through how to bring those things into the wedding in a thoughtful, creative way — whether that’s through the music, the visuals, the food, the vibe. It’s about making the day feel personal and beautiful, without it ever feeling cheesy or forced.
Weddings can be stylish and meaningful at the same time. You don’t have to choose one or the other. - What advice would you offer to couples who are just beginning their wedding planning journey and may feel overwhelmed?
If it’s in your budget — honestly, get a planner. It’ll save you so much time, stress, and decision fatigue. If not, start with the big picture: how do you want your wedding to feel? Who do you really want there? What are your non-negotiables? From there, work out your guest list, budget, and a general time of year — that’ll help you shortlist venues that make sense. And give yourselves one set time a week to sit down together and make progress. It doesn’t all have to happen at once — just keep checking in with each other and remember why you’re doing this in the first place.
If you’re looking for a planner who will elevate your ideas, celebrate your individuality, and help you enjoy every moment of the wedding planning journey, Vows & Things might just be the perfect fit.
